The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
Reflection: This is trying to say is that you basically do what you want it is always going to be your decision on what you choose in life. You should always go for what you want but go for what you think is good for you. You're the cause of your actions. You choose for yourself nobody else makes decisions for yourself. Always go for what you think is the best for you. "I like to encourage people to realize that any action is a good action if it's proactive and there is positive intent behind it." Go for what you think is best and is positive in your life you are in charge of yourself.

Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)
Reflection: What this is trying to say is that always have in mind where you want to be. Picture yourself at the end where you want to be. Where you want to be might be hard but we should always work hard to see ourselves at the end. For example if you are playing a sport picture yourself wining the game. Always have in mind that you will get to where you want to be in life or any situation. "Start with a clear destination. It means to know where you are going so that you better understand where you are now so that the steps you take are always in the right decision." Work hard and begin with the end in mind.

Habit 3: Put things first
"Organize and execute around priorities"
Reflection: This is trying to say that priorities come first. You should always put things that are important first other things you can do later. "Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective management is discipline, carrying it out." We all need to realize that somethings don't matter and we have to focus on our priorities. You have to decide what you want to put things first. You have to make sure you are willing to give up somethings or exchange for what you want. Also establish your priorities. Get your work done.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal."
Reflection: This is trying to say that you should think always that you are going to win. If you have in mind that  you are going to win you to accomplish more things. You can actually get things done. “You were born to win, but
to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." This quote is trying to say is that we are all born winners but you have to work your way there. Work hard to get to were you want to be and be a winner.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand then to be understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."
Reflection:

Habit 6: Synergize
The whole id greater than  the sum of its parts (1+1=3)
Reflection: Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. Which means that 1+1 equals more than two. Creative cooperation like this is usually only found when people have already mastered Habits. Get along with others work well in groups. Values the strengths of others and allow myself to learn from them.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimension of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional
Reflection: Sharpen the Saw are basically activities for yourself that you would like to improve on for example exercise, educate yourself, write in your journal, and they're many more things you can do to sharpen the saw and make things better for yourself. All the the things you want to improve on for yourself.

Reflection: All these habits help you in many ways and in all kinds of ways. I think that it can also help you become a better person. All  these 7 habits are important in a way if you think about it. My favorite one is habit 7 which is Sharpen the Saw it is my favorite because it means that whatever you are into you can improve in it and always make it better for yourself.

Three Fundamental Techniques in Handling People

Three Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
 Dale Carnegie

Technique 1: Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
“If you want to gather honey, don’t kick over the beehive.”
Reflection: Don't go and criticize others if they talk to you about their problems just listen or even if you see others do something bad just let them do what they want. We should all just worry about ourselves and focus on ourselves nobody else. Only person who's going to be there for you is you.

Technique 2: Give honest and sincere appreciation
"The big secret in dealing with people"

Reflection: I think this means that the way to deal with people is to just be honest all the time and sincere. We should always be honest to everybody and about everything. Should always be good and truthful with everybody. Always showing or suggesting a good and truthful character with everyone you are around.

Technique 3: Arouse in the other person an eager want.
"He who can do this has the whole world with him. He who cannot, walks a lonely way."

Reflection:  It means that you want to get people motivated, keep them motivated, and spur them on. Motivate others to do better and to be better. Also motivate yourself

Final Reflection: I've learned that you shouldn't have to criticize others for what they tell you if they go to you to talk or condemn or complain. Also give honesty and sincere appreciation. Always be honest with everyone and everything. Be sincere and appreciate. These three ways can actually help if you actually do what you have to do.

School Break Days

School Break Days

What I did during break was basically just stay home I really didn't do anything. All I really did was watch Criminal Minds and Law & Order. On Christmas Eve and Christmas i spent it with my family. I went to the dentist and found out i get my braces on my next appointment. For my friends birthday we went to city walk and watched the movie "Forest".  I also spent some time with my cousins at their house. i liked our break because i got to stay home and sleep in and get some rest. I also didn't have any homework to do over the break. My break was great in my opinion. I would also sleep very late some days and wake up late I liked it because I knew I didn't have to worry about waking up early.
