"You will go far with CTR"
-Mr. Haymore

Reflection: This is trying to say that we should always choose the right. Choosing the right gets you to to where you want to be at. With choosing the right you get to reach your goals and make other people follow your steps. We can all get far in life by choosing the right. By making bad decisions in life you can lose many things and even at times big things. We always have to choose the right and always think about what your're about to do twice.

becoming your best

Becoming Your Best:

The 12 Principles of Highly Successful Leaders

1. Be true to character
Reflection: This means you should always be yourself. Be true to yourself by being yourself  “Sometimes, being true to yourself means changing your mind. Self changes, and you follow.” Vera Nazarian By being true you have to make good decisions for yourself. I think that by making a decision for yourself that you think is best for you. Always be true to character no matter who it is be yourself. It’s time to care; it’s time to take responsibility; it’s time to lead; it’s time for a change; it’s time to be true to our greatest self; it’s time to stop blaming others. Be true in everything you say or do.

2. Use your imagination
Reflection: This means that you should imagine things. For example if you have a goal in mind imagine you reaching that goal. You can use your imagination for anything."Logic will get you from A to B. Imagination will take you everywhere." Albert Einstein Use your imagination to reach your goals. I think that your imagination can be very helpful if you actually think about it.

3. Apply the power of knowledge
Reflection: Always use your knowledge. Knowledge is facts, information, and skills acquired by a person through experience or education; the theoretical or practical understanding of a subject. "Knowledge is power. Information is power. The secreting or hoarding of knowledge or information may be an act of tyranny camouflaged as humility." Robin Morgan Basically it means to apply all your power to something that you know much about apply all your power to your knowledge.

4. Never give up
Reflection: I think that you should never give up on anything you want. Go for what you want. If you have your goals in mind just accomplish them and continue on with other goals that you have in mind. I think that we shouldn't give up on goals that we have. Giving up i think shows something about you, shows that you don't want to work hard to accomplish your goals or at least try to. "When you get into a tight place and everything goes against you, till it seems as though you could not hang on a minute longer, never give up then, for that is just the place and time that the tide will turn." Harriet Beecher Stowe We should never give up we just need time to accomplish things.

5. Find peace and balance
Reflection: I think that we should all find peace and balance. We should all be able to find peace within something. Letting go helps us to to live in a more peaceful state of mind and helps restore our balance. It allows others to be responsible for themselves and for us to take our hands off situations that do not belong to us. This frees us from unnecessary stress. "Good character consists of recognizing the selfishness that inheres in each of us and trying to balance it against the altruism to which we should all aspire. It is a difficult balance to strike, but no definition of goodness can be complete without it." Alan Dershowitz

6. Live the Golden Rule
Reflection: Live the golden must be important to live by it. At the end of the day, the Golden Rule is called the Golden Rule for a reason - do unto others as you would have done to you. In terms of commandments you could probably just do that one and you would be well off. If everybody could adhere to that one, we'd be OK, as long as a masochist wasn't in charge of people. Chad Kroeger

7. Build and maintain trust
Reflection: This is trying to say that we should build our trust. You are supposed to trust people so that people can trust you. You cant just earn other peoples trust that easy you are supposed to gain it. Build your trust with someone and maintain it. Whether its you alone or with someone else. "We need people in our lives with whom we can be as open as possible. To have real conversations with people may seem like such a simple, obvious suggestion, but it involves courage and risk." -Thomas Moore
meaning its the way you gain other peoples trust.

8. Quick to listen slow to wrath
Reflection: We should all be quick to listen and get things done. Getting things done is great you feel like you have finished your accomplishment. "But the child's sob curses deeper in the silence than the strong man in his wrath!" Elizabeth Barrett Browning Rather than speaking the truth for the right reasons we may want to make our point defend our position or put the other person down. The truth be told but it should be done at the right time for the right reasons and with the right attitude. That's why we should be quick to listen.

9. Lead with vision
Reflection: This is trying to say that you should have a vision in mind. If you have something in mind i say you should go for it and so for your vision. Be a leader in what you want with a vision. Become a leader and help others become one as well with a vision in mind. I think that leadership is a good thing that can really help because you are trying to become a leader and lead with a vision. You are not here merely to make a living."You are here in order to enable the world to live more amply, with greater vision, with a finer spirit of hope and achievement. You are here to enrich the world, and you impoverish yourself if you forget the errand." Woodrow Wilson You have to have a big vision and take very small steps to get there. You have to be humble as you execute but visionary and gigantic in terms of your aspiration. In the Internet industry, it's not about grand innovation, it's about a lot of little innovations: every day, every week, every month, making something a little bit better.

10. Manage with a plan
Reflection: We should all manage ourselves. Have a plan set for yourself and manage it. "Good management is the art of making problems so interesting and their solutions so constructive that everyone wants to get to work and deal with them." Paul Hawken Being in control of your life and having realistic expectations about your day-to-day challenges are the keys to stress management, which is perhaps the most important ingredient to living a happy, healthy and rewarding life. Management is doing things right. Be a leader manage your plan.

11. Do what matters the most.
Reflection: Always do first what matters to you. For example school. We should all put school first and get our work done. To me i put school first and my family as well. To other people they might put other things first but we all put the most important things first. "Your work is going to fill a large part of your life, and the only way to be truly satisfied is to do what you believe is great work. And the only way to do great work is to love what you do. If you haven't found it yet, keep looking. Don't settle. As with all matters of the heart, you'll know when you find it. Steve Jobs"

12. Be accountable.
Reflection: We should all be responsible for what we do. “Opinion is really the lowest form of human knowledge. It requires no accountability, no understanding. The highest form of knowledge… is empathy, for it requires us to suspend our egos and live in another’s world. It requires profound purpose larger than the self kind of understanding.” Bill Bullard. When we fail to set boundaries and hold people accountable, we feel used and mistreated. This is why we sometimes attack who they are, which is far more hurtful than addressing a behavior or a choice.

Reflection: These twelve ways of becoming your best are very helpful if you really apply them to your life. If you really want to become the best and in a good way you can use these twelve ways. These ways can and may help in a lot of ways in your daily life. If you really want to you will do your best to become the best and you will be able to see it in yourself.

The Ten Tips

Ten Tips for Being More Truthful
Barbara A. Lewis

Wife, mother, religious worker, national award-winning author and educator

The Ten Tips
1. Make a commitment to tell the truth.
2. Tell someone about your commitment.
Reflection: In my opinion I think that everyone should always speak with the truth. I think that if you always speak with the truth you will always say the truth which is good. We should always speak with the truth and commit to the truth no matter what even if they're bad news always speak with the truth. I think that people would much rather hear the truth than them being lied to and finding out after. Speak to someone about your commitment about you always speaking the truth. I
n my opinion that is a very good idea to tell someone about.

3. Think before you give a dishonest answer.
Reflection: You should never tell a lie. Lying is not good at all because once you make up a lie it'll lead up to you lying all the time. Big or little a lie is a lie. Lying can also get you into problems which isn't good. "Music doesn't lie. If there is something to be changed in this world, then it can only happen through music". Jimi Hendrix I believe that everyone should just speak with the truth because there is really no point in giving a lie. The truth is always better than a lie because the truth always comes out either way.

4. Be careful of when and how you use exaggeration, sarcasm, or irony.
Reflection: I think this means that you should watch out and think about what you are going to say to someone. Your words can be hard on someone. I think that you should always think before you speak to someone. "It's no exaggeration to say that the undecideds could go one way or another." George H. W. Bush

5. Be careful not to twist the truth or leave out part of it.
Reflection: You should always speak with the truth and the truth only. When you speak with someone say what you have to say but dont get anything twisted. I think that everyone should always speak with the truth even if it will hurt. Being honest is better than giving someone something that isnt true. It isnt hard to speak the truth so why lie about something.

6. Don't indulge in little white lies.
Reflection: This is trying to say that don'
t allow allow yourself to enjoy the lies. Don't become a liar and speak all lies. Always speak with the truth with whoever you are speaking with. The truth is way better than lies. We should all speak with the truth rather to get ourselves involved with lies which aren't truth. Lies are never good you can get yourself in a bad situation with others and yourself reason why we should always speak with the truth.

7. Watch out for silent lies.
Reflection: I think that we can all tell when someone is lying to us. If we really know the person we will be able to see when they are lying by what they do or how they say it. In my opinion i think that we should always speak with the truth. I see no reason why people should lie and say things that arent true. Always speak with the truth at all times. "You may tell the greatest lies and wear a brilliant disguise, but you can't escape the eyes of the one who sees right through you." TOM ROBBINS, Villa Incognito

8. When you catch yourself lying, throw your mouth into reverse
Reflection: This is trying to say that if you are lying just reverse yourself and say the truth. Speaking with the truth always leads you to good things for yourself. Little or big lies are lies and they are bad lies can make you into someone that only speaks lies. Once you start to lie the lies lead you to keep on lying. Lies do come out eventually. I really dont see the point in lying when you can speak the truth. "I can only go one way. I've not got a reverse gear." Tony Blair If you speak with the truth you dont have to reverse yourself because you are speaking with the truth. It's better to just speak with the truth.

9. Talk to yourself.
Reflection: This is trying to say that you should just speak to yourself at times. For example talk to yourself about doing what is best for yourself. You can think about things and give yourself advise. once in a while talk to yourself think  about things and think about what will be best for you. “Self-talk reflects your innermost feelings.” Asa Don Brown When you talk to yourself you talk to yourself about how you truly feel towards things. Talk to yourself is something i think that everybody does to see the point of it and give yourself the best advice.

10. Treat yourself when you tell the truth.
Reflection: This is trying to say that when you speak with the truth you should treat yourself. I think that no matter what we should all and always speak with the truth. Speaking with the truth is much better than speaking with lies.

Reflection: These tips can benefit you because you can better yourself into not saying lies and always speaking the truth. I think that i will be applying all the ten tips because they can all help you in ways that you don't know. We just have to speak with the truth all the time. Speaking with the truth is what you should always do and these tips can help you in ways that you probably don't know.

The 10 Keys

The 10 Keys to Personal Power
Brian Tracy

Key 1: Clarity
"Have vision. Determine what you want to be, do or have in life. Have a sense of direction and know where you're going. If you do not have clear specific goals in life, you are doomed forever to work for others who do."
Reflection: This is trying to say that we all need goals in life. We all need to find something that we like doing. We need to set goals and accomplish them even if it takes time to actually accomplish the goals we have for ourselves. "Clarity affords focus." Focus on what you need to and get things done no matter what it takes and no matter how long it takes.

Key:2 Competence
If you commit to excellence, opportunities will always come your way. The harder you work, the better you get."
Reflection: Work hard to get to where you want to be in life. We all have to work hard and accomplish our goals in life.Commit to something and work hard to get to where you want to. Accomplish all your life goals you have. Set goals and achieve them. I have no idols. I admire work, dedication and competence. Ayrton Senna Work hard and you will get to where you want to be.

Key 3: Concentration
"Make the best of your time. Ask yourself "Is this the best use of my time?" before you start anything."
Reflection: Always concentrate on what you need to concentrate on. Get you things done. Your goals concentrate on them and achieve them. Concentrate on things that are important to you. Always make the best of your time. "What does it take to be a champion? Desire, dedication, determination, concentration and the will to win." Patty Berg  Focus on important things.

Key 4: Common Sense

  • train your mind
  • think things through
  • listen to your intuition
  • learn from setbacks
Reflection: Common Sense is good sense and sound judgment in practical matters. "It is common sense to take a method and try it. If it fails, admit it frankly and try another. But above all, try something." Franklin D. Roosevelt  Always have common sense about everything you do. Think about what you are going to do twice before doing it.

Key 5: Creativity
"Except the fact that every human being is a genius. The hallmark of creativity is asking questions. The people who are most creative ask the most questions."

Key 6: consideration
"The quality of your relationships with other people will determine your success in life."
"Develop the people skills you need to better communicator. Take courses in listening speaking, etc."
"If you were to learn one new word a day, within  5 years, you’ll be the best educated person in history."
Reflection: This means that think before you do something or say something. Communicate better with people  be a better person. Do what you know is best for you  “Intensely selfish people are always very decided as to what they wish. They do not waste their energies in considering the good of others.” Ouida, Wanda, Countess von Szalras.

Key 7: Consistency
"Dependable, steady predictable work is always superior to fast apurts of work."

Be consistent in your relationship, your family, friends, your boss, your work. Be the person that people can depend upon. That if you say you'll do something you do it.."

Reflection: Consistency is conformity in the application of something, typically that which is necessary for the sake of logic, accuracy, or fairness. "One isn't necessarily born with courage, but one is born with potential. Without courage, we cannot practice any other virtue with consistency. We can't be kind, true, merciful, generous, or honest." -Maya Angelou

Key 8: Commitment
"No success is possible without commitment. The ability to commitment to yourself whole heartily is the basis of achieving all success."
"Become totally absorbed in your work. Be totally committed."
Reflection: Be committed to something you love doing. Stay committed to things you love doing. Set goals and stay committed to them accomplish them and make new ones everyday. I feel like if you actually stay committed to something then the thing you want will happen sooner or later.

Key 9: Courage
"The fear of failure is the single greatest reason for failure in life."
Reflection: courage is the ability to do something that frightens one. I think that everyone should go for what they want. Everyone should set goals and accomplish them even if it takes you time. "You gain strength, courage, and confidence by every experience in which you really stop to look fear in the face. You are able to say to yourself, 'I lived through this horror. I can take the next thing that comes along.'" Eleanor Roosevelt Have courage to get things done that need to be done.

Key:10 Confidence
"You only get confidence by doing things over and over again."
Reflection: Always be confident with yourself and everything you do. If you aren't confident do thing over and over again to get confident with things or yourself. "Believe in yourself! Have faith in your abilities! Without a humble but reasonable confidence in your own powers you cannot be successful or happy." Norman Vincent Peale Which means that you should believe in yourself in whatever you choose to decide. Be you and be confident about things.

Reflection: These 10 keys can benefit you in many ways if you actually work on them in your life. They can help you by being a better person and how to be with when you are around other people. The key i am applying right now is confidence. To me i think that confidence takes time people wont be confident right away. I believe that once someone is confident they will always be confident about many things but some things take time and i think that all you need is time for everything. I am Working on my confidence every day so i can become confident about myself and everything i do.

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

The 7 Habits of Highly Effective People

Habit 1: Be Proactive
"Habit 1 is the key to unlocking all the other habits and that's why it comes first. It says, "I am the captain of my life. I can choose my attitude. I'm responsible for my own happiness or unhappiness. I am in the driver's seat of my destiny, not just a passenger."
Reflection: This is trying to say is that you basically do what you want it is always going to be your decision on what you choose in life. You should always go for what you want but go for what you think is good for you. You're the cause of your actions. You choose for yourself nobody else makes decisions for yourself. Always go for what you think is the best for you. "I like to encourage people to realize that any action is a good action if it's proactive and there is positive intent behind it." Go for what you think is best and is positive in your life you are in charge of yourself.

Habit 2: Begin with the end in mind
"Control your own destiny or someone else will." (Jack Welch)
Reflection: What this is trying to say is that always have in mind where you want to be. Picture yourself at the end where you want to be. Where you want to be might be hard but we should always work hard to see ourselves at the end. For example if you are playing a sport picture yourself wining the game. Always have in mind that you will get to where you want to be in life or any situation. "Start with a clear destination. It means to know where you are going so that you better understand where you are now so that the steps you take are always in the right decision." Work hard and begin with the end in mind.

Habit 3: Put things first
"Organize and execute around priorities"
Reflection: This is trying to say that priorities come first. You should always put things that are important first other things you can do later. "Effective leadership is putting first things first. Effective management is discipline, carrying it out." We all need to realize that somethings don't matter and we have to focus on our priorities. You have to decide what you want to put things first. You have to make sure you are willing to give up somethings or exchange for what you want. Also establish your priorities. Get your work done.

Habit 4: Think Win-Win
"Think win-win or no deal."
Reflection: This is trying to say that you should think always that you are going to win. If you have in mind that  you are going to win you to accomplish more things. You can actually get things done. “You were born to win, but
to be a winner, you must plan to win, prepare to win, and expect to win." This quote is trying to say is that we are all born winners but you have to work your way there. Work hard to get to were you want to be and be a winner.

Habit 5: Seek First to Understand then to be understood
"Diagnose before you prescribe."
Reflection:

Habit 6: Synergize
The whole id greater than  the sum of its parts (1+1=3)
Reflection: Synergize is the habit of creative cooperation. It is teamwork, open mindedness, and the adventure of finding new solutions to old problems. Which means that 1+1 equals more than two. Creative cooperation like this is usually only found when people have already mastered Habits. Get along with others work well in groups. Values the strengths of others and allow myself to learn from them.

Habit 7: Sharpen the Saw
Four Dimension of Self-Renewal: Physical, Mental, Spiritual, Social/Emotional
Reflection: Sharpen the Saw are basically activities for yourself that you would like to improve on for example exercise, educate yourself, write in your journal, and they're many more things you can do to sharpen the saw and make things better for yourself. All the the things you want to improve on for yourself.

Reflection: All these habits help you in many ways and in all kinds of ways. I think that it can also help you become a better person. All  these 7 habits are important in a way if you think about it. My favorite one is habit 7 which is Sharpen the Saw it is my favorite because it means that whatever you are into you can improve in it and always make it better for yourself.

Three Fundamental Techniques in Handling People

Three Fundamental Techniques in Handling People
 Dale Carnegie

Technique 1: Don't criticize, condemn or complain.
“If you want to gather honey, don’t kick over the beehive.”
Reflection: Don't go and criticize others if they talk to you about their problems just listen or even if you see others do something bad just let them do what they want. We should all just worry about ourselves and focus on ourselves nobody else. Only person who's going to be there for you is you.

Technique 2: Give honest and sincere appreciation
"The big secret in dealing with people"

Reflection: I think this means that the way to deal with people is to just be honest all the time and sincere. We should always be honest to everybody and about everything. Should always be good and truthful with everybody. Always showing or suggesting a good and truthful character with everyone you are around.

Technique 3: Arouse in the other person an eager want.
"He who can do this has the whole world with him. He who cannot, walks a lonely way."

Reflection:  It means that you want to get people motivated, keep them motivated, and spur them on. Motivate others to do better and to be better. Also motivate yourself

Final Reflection: I've learned that you shouldn't have to criticize others for what they tell you if they go to you to talk or condemn or complain. Also give honesty and sincere appreciation. Always be honest with everyone and everything. Be sincere and appreciate. These three ways can actually help if you actually do what you have to do.
